ASSOCIATE PROGRAM

Thank you for your interest in the Wondr Nation Associate Program!

This program will develop interactive gaming expertise within the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and prepare Tribal Members for career opportunities with Wondr Nation or other iGaming or tech entities.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Wondr Nation Associates will spend dedicated time in key functional areas working on projects to help develop skills in that area. 

Functional rotation areas could include:

  • Product Strategy

  • Business Analytics

  • Responsible Gaming

  • Marketing

  • Professional Services

After successful completion rotations through all functional areas, the Associates will be placed in a permanent position that best matches the demonstrated skills and interests of the Associate.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

To participate in the Associate Program, Associates will need to meet a number of criteria, which includes:

  • Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation member

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree

  • Demonstrated interest in Emerging Technology

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-starter, with the ability to work alone and stay on task

  • Personable, with the ability to work well and collaboratively with others

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Detail-oriented and well-organized

Application will include:

  • Online application

  • Entrance essay (see below for specifics)

  • Entrance video (see below for specifics)

ENtrance Essay

500 words essay that will assess your writing skills and communication skills. Essays will be submitted via a file upload.

Essay topics to select from:

  • What do you regard as the most important modern invention? Describe this invention and give two or three reasons why it is important.

  • What are the advantages of technology in society?

  • What is the relationship of digital technology and contemporary culture?

Essay Expectaitons:

  • A clear focus on the topic and question selected

  • Two or three well-developed points to explain or give evidence in support of the topic

  • Clear flow of ideas (clear connections between each main point)

  • Effective word-choice

  • Correct sentence structure, punctuation, spelling and grammar

Entrance Video

Three- minute video which will assess your interest in the program. Video must be uploaded to a publicly viewable location and a link provided.

Video Content:

  • Who you are as a person

  • What motivates you

  • Why you should be selected for the Associate Program

Video Expectations:

  • 3-5 minutes in length

  • Answers all components of the above

  • Creativity!
