“We take responsible play very seriously and are proud to work closely with CCPG to increase player safety in our home state of Connecticut,” Anika Howard, Chief Executive Officer and President of WONDR NATION, said. “We want the best for our players. Pairing the vital resources and tools that CCPG provides with the proactive player safeguards will create a much more comprehensive, welcoming and sustainable way to play.”
Through this initiative, WONDR NATION partnered with CCPG as an official Platinum Level sponsor to continue its mission of championing responsible gaming and empowering its users with the necessary tools and education to maintain sustainable playing habits. WONDR NATION has pledged to donate $300,000 per year for the next five years to support the organization’s responsible gaming efforts and reduce problem gambling through education, prevention and awareness programs. Dedicated to advocating for responsible gaming habits and educating users on safe practices, the company is also a supporter of the Bettor Choice Programs, a series of gambling-specific treatment programs funded by the State of Connecticut.
“Having worked with Anika in the past, we know what a dynamic leader she is and her passion for ensuring that players have the tools to play responsibly,” said Diana Goode, Executive Director of CCPG. “Since the launch of online gaming last fall, we have been focusing on creating new avenues and pathways to reach players that do not fall into the traditional player models. That is why we are so excited to partner with The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and WONDR NATION and are heartened by their commitment of $300,000 because actions speak louder than words.”
Known for bringing best-in-class gaming experiences and emerging technologies to players, WONDR NATION continues to innovate within the industry through its forward-thinking strategies for providing safe, inclusive and responsible digital environments. “When we launched WONDR NATION last May, we knew we wanted to take its impact beyond the role of a traditional online gaming entertainment company,” said Tribal Chairman Rodney Butler. “Everyone wins when players are supported, respected and shielded from developing problematic gaming habits, so we’re empowered to continue affecting material change and doing the work within the industry thanks to our decades long partnership with CCPG.”
