WONDR NATION® today announced its official sponsorship of the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center, which is dedicated to preserving and protecting the history and culture of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. For the next five years, WONDR NATION will provide monetary support and bring its expertise in emerging technologies to the museum to enrich its offerings, educational resources and patron experience.

As the museum’s lead sponsor, WONDR NATION will help elevate and support its exhibitions, research, operations and public programming with technology-forward advisory. Dedicated to making positive impacts within its community, WONDR NATION will assist in implementing engaging and immersive elements throughout the museum, such as developing virtual reality experiences for select exhibits, building a Wondr Smart lab to bring STEM experiences to the museum’s youngest visitors, implementing livestreaming to extend the reach of museum programming beyond its walls, and more. The gaming entertainment company will collaborate with the museum to create innovative, fresh and engaging experiences for visitors that preserve and celebrate the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation in new and exciting ways.

"As a tribally-owned company, we are deeply committed to the preservation and advancement of the Mashantucket Pequot culture,” said Anika Howard, President & CEO of WONDR NATION. “This partnership allows us to extend our impact by providing enriching tech-forward educational experiences for the tribal community and the public. We are humbled to bring our expertise in emerging technologies to the museum to honor the tribe's history."

Together, WONDR NATION and the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center will launch youth and adult community-focused programming that shares inspirational stories, educates on cultural topics, and extends access to key resources. One of the initial initiatives under this focus will be the free Artisan Entrepreneur Symposium, a new event for the museum that will focus on the unique perspectives and needs of artisan entrepreneurs. Taking place on Tuesday, May 23rd, this event marks the first of many exciting programs that WONDR NATION and the museum will collaboratively roll out throughout their partnership.
